The experience dimensions of ISCM implementation among logistics firms are explored by studying how AI, blockchain, and IoT are incorporated. The study uses a qualitative narrative inquiry method to reveal the way the logistics professionals relate to, adopt, and adapt the ISCM innovations for getting improved financial results and effective risk management. Insights into how ISCM technologies can significantly improve demand forecasting and reduce inventory costs and enhance the level of operational efficiency were provided through interviews with five mid- to senior-level supply chain professionals.
The results show that ISCM provides capabilities to establish resilient supply chains because of the advanced risk prediction and disruptive event management capabilities. But the investigation reveals important hurdles to the adoption of these innovations as well; inconsistencies of the data, obstacles arising from the inertia of the organisation, the incompatibility of hardware or software and the peril of cybersecurity breaches. However, interviewees emphasised that the success of ISCM requires efficient management changes, strong data governance, and collaborative cooperation of departments.
In theory, this research contributes to supply chain literature by reframing ISCM adoption through narrative analysis and emphasises its importance for knowledge coalescence in an environment of technological disruption. This research provides practical directions for logistics firms and policymakers; it states that the implementation of ISCM is not simply a matter of IT enhancement but a total transformation in the way companies do business and plan.
