Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli laatia selkeä ja käytännönläheinen opas ohjaustyön tueksi Keravan perheryhmäkotiin. Keravan perheryhmäkoti on asuinympäristöltään kodinomainen yksikkö alaikäisille ilman huoltajaa Suomeen tulleille pakolaistaustaisille nuorille. Keravan perheryhmäkodin perustehtäviin kuuluu kasvatus- ohjaus- ja kotouttamistyö. Keravan perheryhmäkodissa tunnistettiin tarve käytännönläheiselle oppaalle perehdytystilanteiden yhteydessä. Oppaan tarkoituksena oli toimia tukimateriaalina osana perehdytystä sekä kokeneempien työntekijöiden ammatillisen osaamisen vahvistajana.
Opinnäytetyön tietoperusta koostui kohtaamisen merkitystä, traumainformoitua työotetta, kulttuurisensitiivistä työotetta, kiintymyssuhdetta ja suhdeperustaista työotetta, sekä rajojen asettamista ja konfliktitilanteita käsittelevistä luvuista. Tietoperustaan valikoitui aihealueita aineiston analyysin ja opinnäytetyön tekijän kokemuksiin perustuen. Tietoperustan aihepiiri rajautui koskemaan Keravan perheryhmäkodin ohjaustyössä keskeisiä aihealueita.
Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena kehittämistyönä yhteistyössä Keravan perheryhmäkodin kanssa. Opinnäytetyön aineistonhankintamenetelminä olivat puolistrukturoitu kysely perheryhmäkodin henkilöstölle sekä osallistuva havainnointi. Puolistrukturoidun kyselyn ja osallistuvan havainnoinnin avulla kerättiin tietoa kehittämistyön tarpeista ja perehdytyksen nykytilasta. Osallistava havainnointi suoritettiin opinnäytetyön tekijän työskennellessä Keravan perheryhmäkodissa.
Aineiston analyysi osoitti Keravan perheryhmäkodin todellisen tarpeen johdonmukaiselle, selkeälle ja konkreettiselle oppaalle osaksi perehdytystä. Aineistosta nousi esiin henkilöstön halu syventää ja vahvistaa ammatillista osaamistaan ohjaustyössä. Työn tuotoksena syntyi käytännön vinkkejä ja teoriatietoa tarjoava kohtaamisen opas Keravan perheryhmäkodin arkeen. Opinnäytetyö osoitti kohtaamisen merkityksen nuorten hyvinvoinnin kannalta ja tarjosi konkreettisen ratkaisun työn tilaajan tarpeeseen käytännönläheisen oppaan muodossa. The aim of the thesis was to create a clear and practical guide to support counselling work in the Kerava family group home. The Kerava family group home is a home-like unit for unaccompanied minors with a refugee background who have come to Finland. The basic tasks of the Kerava family group home include upbringing, guidance and integration work. The Kerava family group home identified a need for a practical guide to support orientation situations. The purpose of the guide was to act as support material as part of the orientation and to strengthen the professional competence of more experienced employees.
The knowledge base of the thesis consisted of chapters on the meaning of encounter, trauma-informed working approach, culturally sensitive working approach, attachment relationships and relationship-based working approach, as well as setting boundaries and lastly conflict situations. Topics for the knowledge base were selected based on the analysis of the material and the experiences of the author of the thesis. The subject area of the knowledge base was limited to the key areas of counselling work at the Kerava family group home.
The thesis was conducted as a practice-based development work in cooperation with the Kerava Family Group Home. The data collection methods for the thesis were a semi-structured survey of the family group home staff and participatory observation. The semi-structured survey was targeted to meet the needs of the development work. The participatory observation was carried out while the author of the thesis was working as an employee in the everyday life of the family group home.
The analysis of the data showed the need of the Kerava Family Group Home for a coherent, clear and concrete guide as part of the orientation process. The data also revealed the desire of the staff to deepen and strengthen their professional competence in counselling work. The output of the work was an encounter guide that offers practical tips and theoretical information for the everyday life of the Kerava Family Group Home. The thesis showed the importance of encounter for the well-being of young people and offered a concrete solution to the need of the client in the form of a practical guide.
