TERVEYSTAPAHTUMA HYVINKÄÄN SEURAKUNNASSA

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli suunnitella, järjestää ja arvioida terveystapahtuma. Terveystapahtuman tavoitteena oli tehdä terveydentilan mittauksia ja tulosten kautta herättää tapahtumaan osallistuneet miettimään omaa terveyttään ja mahdollista riskiä sairastua metaboliseen oireyhtymään.

Toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö toteutettiin terveystapahtumana Hyvinkään seurakunnassa diakoniaruokailun yhteydessä kaksi kertaa keväällä 2018. Toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö tehtiin yhteistyössä Hyvinkään seurakunnan diakoniatoimen kanssa. Kohderyhmänä olivat diakoniatyön asiakkaat ja he, jotka olivat huomanneet mainoksen tapahtumasta Aamuposti-lehdessä. Terveystapahtuma järjestettiin Hyvinkään kirkon eteisaulaan itse rakennetuissa mittauspisteissä. Osallistuja sai valita, ottaako kaikki tarjolla olevat mittaukset, jotka olivat verenpaine-, verensokeri, painoindeksi, paino ja vyötärönympärysmitta. Mittaustulokset tulkittiin Käypä hoito -suositusten mukaisesti.

Tapahtuma sai positiivista palautetta terveystapahtumaan osallistuneilta sekä seurakunnan diakoniatyöntekijöiltä. Matalan kynnyksen terveystapahtumia toivottiin järjestettävän jatkossakin. Palautteen ja kokemuksen myötä tuli hyviä kehittämisehdotuksia mahdollista seuraavaa terveystapahtumaa varten.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the thesis was to plan, organise and evaluate an event focusing on health. The goal of the event was to carry out various measurements and, with the help of the measurement results, make sure the participants begin to think about their own health and the possible risk of metabolic syndrome.

The functional thesis was carried out as a health intervention in the Hyvinkää parish in conjunction with the deacon food service twice during the spring of 2018. The functional thesis was done in co-operation with the deacons of the Hyvinkää parish. The target group of the study were the customers of diaconal work, as well as those who had noticed the advertisement about the event in the Aamuposti magazine.

The health intervention was held at the entrance hall of the Hyvinkää church, where we had created different customer points for carrying out measurements. The participant was able to choose whether he/she wanted some or all of the available measurements taken, which were blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, weight and waist circumference. The measurement results were interpreted in accordance with the recommended Current Care Guidelines. The event received positive feedback from the people who participated in the health intervention and from the deaconesses of the parish. The people hoped that these type of low threshold health events will continue also in the future. Thanks to the feedback and the experience, we received good suggestions for development for possible new health interventions that will be organised in the future.
