Abstract

Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulu, Sosiaalialan koulutusohjelma, Kristillisen lapsi- ja nuorisotyön suuntautumisvaihtoehto, sosionomi (AMK) + kirkon nuorisotyöntekijän virkakelpoisuus.

Tämä opinnäytetyö on kehittämispainotteinen ja sen tarkoituksena oli tuottaa materiaalia NMKY:n isä–lapsi-toiminnan internetsivustolle. Materiaalipaketti, Isyyden käyttöönotto-opas (liite 2), koostuu kymmenestä artikkelista. Artikkelit käsittelevät aiheita jotka ovat ajankohtaisia uusille isille.

Opinnäytetyötä varten toteutettiin isille suunnattu Webropol-kysely (liite 1), jossa selvitettiin muun muassa perheille suunnattujen palveluiden tuntemista ja niiden käyttöä sekä isyyteen liittyviä kysymyksiä ja haasteita. Kyselyn tulokset on esitelty opinnäytetyössä.

Työn teoreettisessa osassa käsitellään isyyden historiaa, isyyttä nyky-yhteiskunnassa, isyyden tukemista, isyyden malleja, isyyttä Raamatussa sekä NMKY-liikettä.

Opinnäytetyön toinen osa on artikkeleista koostettu materiaalipaketti. Artikkelit käsittelevät erilaisia aihealueita kuten parisuhteen hoitoa lapsen syntymisen jälkeen, lapsen uskonnollista kasvatusta ja taloudellista selviytymistä. Artikkelit koostuvat neljästä osiosta: johdannosta, tiivistelmästä, varsinaisesta tekstiosasta sekä pohdinnasta.

Prosessi alkoi syksyllä 2009, kun Helsingin NMKY:n kanssa sovittiin opinnäyteyhteistyöstä liittyen isä–lapsi-toimintaan. Keväällä 2010 toteutettiin Webropol-kysely, jonka tulosten pohjalta valittiin artikkelien aiheet. Kevään ja kesän 2010 aikana artikkelit kirjoitettiin ja viimeisteltiin. Opinnäytetyön teoreettinen osa kirjoitettiin pääasiallisesti syksyllä 2010. Isyyden käyttöönotto-opas luovutettiin isä–lapsi-projektin käyttöön alkusyksystä 2010.

The purpose of this thesis with developmental character was to produce mate-rial for the Finnish YMCA’s father-child-project to be published at their website. The material, Introduction guide for fathers, consists of ten articles. The articles deal with themes that are topical to the 21st century fathers.

To find viable themes for the articles there was a Webropol survey. It was pub-lished on different websites to be answered by fathers who were interested in this project. The goal of the survey was to find out what the fathers knew about family-orientated services, how they used them and what kind of fatherhood-related questions they had and what challenges were involved. The results of the survey are presented in the thesis.

The first part of the report is the theoretical part which deals with the history of fatherhood, fatherhood in the 21st century society, support to fatherhood, differ-ent patterns of fatherhood, fatherhood in the Bible and YMCA movement.

The second part of the thesis consists of the articles on the themes suggested by the Webropol survey results. The articles concern different schemes like taking care of one’s relationship after having a baby, the religious upbringing of a child and financial management. The articles consist of four different parts: introduction, abstract, text part and reflection.

The process began in autumn 2009 when the agreement of collaboration with the Helsinki YMCA in their father-child-project was made. The Webropol survey was made in spring 2010 and the results constituted the base of our articles. The articles were written and completed during the spring and the summer of 2010. The theoretical part was written in the autumn of 2010. The Introduction guide for fathers was given to be used for the father-child-project.
