Tiivistelmä
Läheltä-podcastsarja on kehittämispainotteinen opinnäytetyö. Kehittämishankkeena tuotettiin kuusiosainen podcastsarja yhteistyössä A-klinikkasäätiön Lasinen lapsuus -tiimin kanssa. Podcastin tarkoituksena on jakaa kokemustietoa ja saada läheiset ymmärtämään, että hekin ovat avuntarvitsijoita. Kohderyhmänä ovat päihteiden käyttäjien läheiset. Jokaisella podcastjaksolla on oma teemansa, jonka pohjalta haastateltavaksi valikoitui sekä päihteiden käyttäjien läheisiä että ammattilaisia. Kehittämistyön keskeinen näkökulma on, että päihteiden käyttäjän läheinen on myös avuntarvitsija ja että apua on saatavilla. Podcast rakentuu ajatukselle hyvinvoinnin edistämiseen tähtäävästä vaikuttamistyöstä, jonka keskiössä ovat päihteiden käyttäjän läheisen voimavarojen ja selviytymiskeinojen vahvistaminen.
Kehittämistyön aiheen taustalla on ajatus huomioida paremmin päihteiden käyttäjän läheinen ja hänen mahdollinen tuen tarpeensa. On perusteltua sanoa, että päihteiden käyttäjien läheisille tarjottu apu ja tuki on jäänyt päihdetyön kokonaisuudessa varsin vähäiselle huomiolle. Podcastiin rekrytoitiin haastateltavaksi neljä henkilöä, joilla on kokemus läheisenä, ja kaksi ammattilaista, jotka pystyvät tuomaan oman ammattitaidon kautta näkemyksensä aiheeseen. Jokaiselle jaksolle tehtiin käsikirjoitus jakson teeman mukaisesti, jonka jälkeen jaksot äänitettiin ja editoitiin. Valmiit jaksot on julkaistu A-klinikkasäätiön Lasinen lapsuus -verkkosivulla ja Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulun verkkosivulla keväällä 2022.
Podcast on saanut varsin hyvin kuuntelukertoja. Kuuntelijoilta on kerätty palautetta anonyymillä palautelomakkeella. Haastateltaville ja yhteistyökumppanille on lähetetty myös omat palautelomakkeet. Saadun palautteen perusteella voidaan sanoa, että kehittämistyön aihe on perusteltu: päihteiden käyttäjien läheisten kokemuksia on tarpeellista tuoda enemmän esille ja podcast on hyvä kanava tähän tarkoitukseen. This development-oriented thesis aimed for production of podcast series called Läheltä which translates as 'close up' or 'close to' in English. The development project is a six-part podcast series produced in collaboration with the Fragile Childhood (Lasinen lapsuus) team that works within A-Clinic Foundation in Finland. The target group for the podcast is the people that are close to those who are suffering from substance abuse issues. The objective is to pay attention to the needs of the people close to the substance abusers which have not been in the center of the focus conventionally in the field of substance abuse welfare work.
Each episode of the podcast has a theme based on which the interviewees were chosen. Both the relatives of substance abusers as well as the professionals who work with issues related to substance abuse were interviewed. The series underline the understanding that the people close to those who are suffering from substance use can also be in the need of help, and that the help is available. The objective of the podcast is a strategic promotion of well-being via media focusing on strengthening resources and coping skills of the people close to the substance abusers.
Four people with a status of a relative and two professionals in the field were interviewed for the podcast. The two professionals were able to bring their views on the subject through their own work in the field. A script was written for each episode according to the theme chosen. The episodes were recorded and edited. The full series is published both on the Fragile Childhood website and on the website of the Diaconia University of Applied Sciences in the spring of 2022.
The podcast has received listeners. Feedback has been collected from listeners via an anonymous questionnaire. The interviewees and the collaborative team of Fragile Childhood team have also been able to give their feedback. Based on the data collected the topic of the development project is just: the experiences of those who are close to the substance abusers need to be better listened and heard. A podcast is found to be a suitable media for this purpose.
