Tiivistelmä
Tämän kehittämispainotteisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa laadukas opetusvideo Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulun terveysalan opiskelijoille, kuinka nenä-mahaletku laitetaan oikeaoppisesti ja turvallisesti imeväisikäiselle. Opetusvideo toteutettiin englannin kielellä puhuttuna ja siihen lisättiin suomenkielinen tekstitys. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli edistää opiskelijoiden kliinistä osaamista lasten hoitotyössä uuden oppimateriaalin avulla. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin yhteistyössä Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulun kanssa, tilaajana toimi lasten ja nuorten kliinisen hoitotyön lehtori.
Opinnäytetyön raportissa tarkasteltiin imeväisikäisen anatomisia ja fysiologisia erityispiirteitä sekä imeväisikäisen ravitsemusta. Nenä-mahaletkun laittaminen toimenpiteenä kuvattiin yksityiskohtaisesti huomioiden lasten ja perheen hoitotyön periaatteita. Tiedonhakuprosessissa hyödynnettiin mahdollisimman uutta suomalaista ja kansainvälistä tutkimustietoa.
Opetusvideolle luotiin käsikirjoitus, joka kirjoitettiin tutkimustietoon perustuen. Opetusvideo esitettiin lasten ja nuorten kliinisen hoitotyön opintojaksolla keväällä 2023 opiskeleville opiskelijoille. Opiskelijoilta kerättiin palautetta opetusvideosta Webropol-kyselyn avulla. Kysely sisälsi kolme avointa kysymystä. Kyselyn avulla pyrittiin selvittämään, miten opetusvideo tuki opiskelijoiden oppimista sekä mitä kehitettävää opetusvideossa oli. Palautetta saatiin vain seitsemältä henkilöltä, mutta saatujen palautteiden perusteella opetusvideo tuki opiskelijoiden hahmottamista, kuinka nenä-mahaletkun laitto toimenpiteenä etenee. Opiskelijat kokivat oppivansa opetusvideosta myös uutta. The objective of this development-oriented thesis was to produce a high-quality educational video for Diaconia University of Applied Sciences health students on how to insert a nasogastric tube properly and safely in an infant. The educational video was made in English with Finnish subtitles. The aim of the thesis was to promote clinical competence in childcare work of the students with the help of new learning material. The thesis work was carried out in cooperation with Diaconia University of Applied Sciences.
The thesis report examined the anatomical and physiological special features of the infant as well as the nutrition of the infant. Placing a nasogastric tube as a procedure was described in detail, considering the principles of child and family nursing. The theoretical framework for the thesis was from current Finnish and international research.
A script was created for the educational video, and it was written based on the research data. The educational video was shown to students of the study module of clinical nursing for children and adolescents in the spring 2023. Feedback was collected from the students about the educational video using a Webropol survey. The survey contained three open questions. The survey was used to find out how the educational video supported learning and what could be developed in the educational video. Feedback was received from only seven people, but based on the feedback received, the educational video supported the understanding of how the placement of a nasogastric tube as a procedure proceeds. The students also felt that they learned something new from the educational video.
