Tiivistelmä
Tässä opinnäytetyössä kartoitettiin Kajaanin päihde- ja mielenterveysomaisten palvelut. Kartoitukseen otettiin Kainuun kriisikeskus, Mielenterveys- ja päihdepoliklinikka, Kajaanin seurakunta sekä verkosta löytyvä apu ja tuki. Opinnäytetyö tehtiin yhteistyössä Kajaanin seurakunnan kanssa.
Opinnäytetyön tarkoitus oli tehdä kartoitus, jossa selvitettiin mitä palveluita päihde- ja mielenterveysomaisille on tarjolla Kajaanissa. Opinnäytetyö suunnattiin sosiaalialan ammattilaisille ja sen tavoite oli lisätä päihde- ja mielenterveysomaisten palveluiden määrää ja laatua.
Opinnäytetyön prosessissa noudatettiin lineaarista kehittämismenetelmää. Alussa ideoitiin ja rajattiin aihetta yhteistyötahon kanssa. Suunnitteluvaiheessa vakiintui ajatus siitä, että työstä tehdään kartoitus eikä opas. Työstövaiheessa kartoitettiin Kajaanin alueen toimijoita, jotka tarjoavat palvelua päihde- ja mielenterveysomaisille. Silloin myös kerättiin lisää lähdemateriaalia työn tueksi.
Kartoituksen tuloksena voitiin todeta, että kohderyhmä oli suuri ja ongelmat vakavasti otettavia, eikä niihin löytynyt riittävästi palveluita ja apukeinoja. Kajaanissa oli muutamia toimijoita, joilta löytyi apua päihde- ja mielenterveysomaisille, mutta suoraan heille kohdistettuja palveluita oli todella niukasti. Oli myös havaittavissa, ettei kohderyhmä hankkiudu välttämättä itse avun piiriin. This thesis was conducted in collaboration with Kajaani Parish. The thesis aimed to map out the services available in the Kajaani area targeted for relatives of individuals dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues. The service providers included in the survey were the Kainuu Crisis Center, the Mental Health and Substance Abuse Outpatient Clinic, Kajaani Parish, as well as online support and assistance.
The purpose of the thesis was to conduct a survey to determine what services are available for relatives of individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues in Kajaani. The thesis was aimed at social work professionals, and its goal was to increase both the quantity and quality of services for relatives of individuals with substance abuse and mental health issues. The services were mapped based on information obtained from service providers.
The methodology employed in this thesis followed a linear development approach. In the initial phase, the topic of the thesis was discussed with Kajaani Parish. During the planning phase, it was confirmed that the final form of the thesis would be a survey. In the implementation phase, source material was sought and the services available in the Kajaani area were identified.
The survey revealed that there were not many services in Kajaani specifically designed for relatives of individuals dealing with substance abuse and mental health issues. Additionally, it was observed that relatives constituted a significant portion of the population, and the problems they faced were severe. However, only a small proportion had sought help on their own.
