Ammatillinen kosketus sairaanhoitajan työvälineenä: opas ammatillisen kosketuksen perustaitoihin

Abstract

Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa tietoa ammatillisesta kosketuksesta ja nostaa esiin ammatillisen kosketuksen merkitystä hoitotyössä. Tavoitteena oli kerätyn tiedon avulla luoda opas ammatillisen kosketuksen hyödyntämisestä sairaanhoitajan työvälineenä. Oppaassa toimme esille kosketuksen moninaisia hyötyjä potilastyössä.

Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kehittämispainotteisena opinnäytetyönä. Opinnäytetyömme sisälsi tutkitusta tiedosta sekä kattavista kirjallisuuden lähteistä muodostuneen teoreettisen viitekehyksen, tietoa yhteistyökumppanista sekä produktimme sovellettavuuden pohdintaa. Lähteiden valintakriteereinä oli luotettavuus, informatiivisuus ja ajankohtaisuus. Teoreettisen viitekehyksen pohjalta luotiin opas sairaanhoitajille. Opas laadittiin yhteistyössä Helsingin ja Uudenmaan sairaanhoitopiirin sekä Diakonia ammattikorkeakoulun kanssa. Opas pitää sisällään tietoa ammatillisen kosketuksen merkityksestä, erityisryhmien kohtaamisesta sekä keinoja ammatillisen kosketuksen toteuttamiseen.

Oppaan arvioinnissa käytettiin anonyymia palautekyselyä, jolla kerättiin tietoa oppaan vastaanotosta, sisällöstä, ulkoasusta, käyttöönoton helpottamisesta ja oppaan vaikutuksista osastoilla. Palautetta käsiteltiin raportissa. Opinnäytetyön arviointiin kuului lisäksi opponenteilta, opettajilta ja pajan ohjaajalta saatu palaute sekä itsereflektio. Palautteen pohjalta opas koettiin tarpeelliseksi työelämän työkaluna. Saavutimme tavoitteet, jotka olimme asettaneet opinnäytetyöllemme. Pohdimme opinnäytetyössämme myös oppaan jatkokehitysmahdollisuuksia, joita olisivat oppaan kohdistaminen tarkemmin rajatuille potilasryhmille ja koulutuksen kehittäminen verkkokurssin muodossa.

The purpose of this thesis was to produce information on professional touch and to highlight the importance of it in nursing. Based on this, we aimed to create a guide about touch and utilizing its many benefits for nurses working in patient care. The goal of this thesis was to use the collected information to create a guide on utilizing professional touch as a nurse’s work tool.

The thesis was implemented as a development-oriented thesis. Our thesis includes a theoretical reference framework formed from researched data as well as literature from extensive sources, information about the cooperation partner, and consideration of the applicability of our product. The selection criteria of the sources were reliability, informativeness and topicality. Based on this theoretical framework we created a guide for nurses. The guide was prepared in collaboration with Helsinki University Hospital and Diaconia University of Applied Sciences. The guide contains information about the relevance of the professional touch, encountering special groups and ways to implement professional touch.

In the evaluation of the guide, an anonymous survey was used to collect information about the reception of the guide, its content, layout, ease of use and its effectiveness in the departments. The feedback was processed in the report. The evaluation of the thesis also included feedback received from opponents, teachers, workshop leader and self-reflection. Based on the feedback, the guide was considered as a necessary professional tool. We achieved the goals we had set for our thesis. In our thesis we also ponder the further development possibilities of the guide which could be defining the guide for a specific group of patients or creating online teaching on professional touch for nurses.
