Tiivistelmä
The aim of this thesis was to research and dokument the effects adventure education and the outside has on children's early development. This research was done in Tuomarilan Helmi kindergarten in Tuomarila, Espoo. The kindergarten develops yearly their general pedagocial aproches and methods, and constantly tries to improve and do new things. My thesis emphasis is solely on the effects of the outdoors, this is something that hasent yet been developed that much by different educators and teachers. The teachers and personnel has been seeing a lack in this issue and not having a systematic ruotine with the outdoors. Thesis thesis is focusing solely on the meaningul effects adventure and the outdoors has on early childhood development, this thesis explored what is the most important adventure pedagogy at a kindergarten, educators working metohds, different approcehes of doing and handling the outdoors and focusing on the effects and results given.

Qualitive data for this thesis was researched based, and it was collected using each individual childs childhood development plan, interviews with children and their parents, mesuring their development weekly and mesuring more througly each month. The research was done between January and May of 2024, and then researching more deelpy between June and August of 2024, the interveiws were done in the first part and the second part of the research. The data collected from interviews, childhood plan, mesurements and personal opinions were collected in the winter, spring and summer of 2024.

The research found and produced information about the effetcs the outdoor had on children and how it enanhed their development. It showed that implementing the outdoors in the lesson plan enhances the children learning differently but also gives a lot of postive effects. This research and thesis prived great tools and mesurments of to further and more deelpy implement adventure education and the outdoors in everyday life and in the lesson plans for children and different kindergarten groups.
