Poliisin ensiarvio sekavan asiakkaan terveydentilasta: Opas Itä-Uudenmaan kenttäpoliiseille

Abstract

TIIVISTELMÄ Pihlaja Susanna, Villa Otso, Vinogradov Evgeny Poliisin ensiarvio sekavan asiakkaan terveydentilasta, Opas Itä-Uudenmaan kenttäpoliiseille Sivut 39 ja liitteet 3 Kevät 2025 Diakonia-ammattikorkeakoulu Sairaanhoitaja (AMK)

Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli kehittää helppolukuinen digitaalinen opas, joka tukee poliiseja sekavan asiakkaan terveydentilan ensiarviossa kenttätyössä. Oppaan on tarkoitus parantaa poliisien valmiuksia tunnistaa mahdolliset hätätilanteet. Lisäksi sen avulla helpotetaan oikea-aikaista ja asianmukaista avunantoa. Käsittelimme oppaassa yleisimpiä sairauskohtauksia, mielenterveyden haasteita sekä päihteitä. Opas oli kehittämistyömme tuotos ja teimme sen yhteistyössä Itä-Uudenmaan poliisilaitoksen kanssa.

Keräsimme yhteistyökumppaniltamme tietoa sähköisellä kyselyllä. Kysely sisälsi yhden monivalintakysymyksen, joka käsitteli työvuosien kokemusta, sekä viisi avointa kysymystä aiheeseen liittyen. Kyselyn avulla kartoitimme oppaan tarpeellisuuden, joka ilmenikin vastauksista. Saimme myös paljon hyödyllistä tietoa siitä, mitä oppaaseen olisi hyvä sisällyttää. Opas toteutettiin käyttäen Canva-suunnittelutyökalua, joka mahdollisti visuaalisesti selkeän ja helposti muokattavan lopputuloksen. Värimaailman suunnittelimme kohderyhmälle sopivaksi.

Lähetimme oppaan arvioitavaksi Itä-Uudenmaan poliisilaitokselle. Tämän jälkeen teimme yhteistyökumppanin toivomat korjaukset. Palaute oppaasta oli myönteinen. Opas koettiin lyhyeksi, selkeäksi ja ytimekkääksi. Yhteistyökumppanimme myös ehdotti, että opas voisi mahdollisesti olla hyvä myös laminoituna taskuoppaana.

The aim of this thesis was to develop an easy-to-read digital guide to support police officers in the initial assessment of a disoriented customer’s health condition. The guide is intended to enhance police officers’ ability to identify potential emergencies. In addition, it ensures timely and appropriate assistance. In the guide, the most common medical emergencies, mental health challenges and substance use were addressed. The guide was the outcome of a development project, and it was created it in collaboration with the East Uusimaa Police Department in Finland.

Information was collected from the partner organization through an electronic survey. The survey included one multiple choice question about years of work experience and five open questions related to the topic of the thesis. Through the survey, the need for the guide was assessed, and the necessity became evident from the responses. Useful information about what should be included in the guide was also collected. The guide was created using the Canva graphic design tool, which made a visually clear and easily customizable outcome possible. The colour scheme was designed to be suitable for the target audience.

The guide was sent for evaluation to the Eastern Uusimaa Police Department. After the evaluation, the revisions requested by the partner were made. The feedback on the guide was positive. The guide was considered short, clear and concise. The partner also suggested that the guide could potentially be useful as a laminated pocket guide.
