Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli lisätä tietoisuutta esiopetuksen kuraattoripalveluista, jotta varhaiskasvatuksen opettajat ja esiopettajat olisivat tietoisempia kuraattoripalvelusta ja sen mahdollisuuksista tukea lapsia ja perheitä varhaisessa vaiheessa. Laajempana tavoitteena oli moniammatillisen yhteistyön kehittäminen ja vahvistuminen.
Kehittämistyön yhteistyökumppanina toimivat Vantaan ja Keravan hyvinvointialueen kuraattoripalvelut, jotka tarjoavat tukea 6-vuotiaille esiopetuksessa oleville lapsille ja heidän perheilleen yhteistyössä varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstön kanssa. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin kehittämispainotteisena ja siinä hyödynnettiin laadullisia tutkimusmenetelmiä sekä yhteiskehittämistä. Tiedonkeruumenetelminä käytettiin Webropol-kyselyä ja työpajaa, ja aineiston analyysissa sovellettiin laadullista sisällönanalyysiä.
Kyselylomakkeen tarkoituksena oli taustoittaa kehittämistyötä. Kyselyn tulosten pohjalta kuraattorityöstä on ollut hyötyä varhaiskasvatuksen opettajille työssään. Varhaiskasvatuksen opettajat toivoivat moniammatilliseen kuraattoriyhteistyöhön lisää selkeyttä ja tietoa siitä, miten ja millaisissa asioissa kuraattoripalveluihin ollaan yhteydessä. Työpajasta nousi esille moniammatillisen yhteistyön kehittämisen tarve yhä jatkossakin ja ammattiroolien selkiyttäminen sekä tarve lisätä tietoisuutta kuraattorin työstä varhaiskasvatuksen opettajille sekä esiopettajille.
Opinnäytetyön loppuproduktina syntyi video ´Kuraattorityö esiopetuksessa` Videon tarkoitus oli selventää varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien/esiopettajien ja kuraattoreiden yhteistyötä. Videon teemat rakentuivat kyselyn ja yhteiskehittämispäivän prosessin tulosten perusteella. Videon teemoina olivat: mitä kuraattorityö on esiopetuksessa, monialaisuus ja moniammatillisuus kuraattorityössä, kuraattorityö käytännössä ja millaisiin asioihin kuraattorityötä voi hyödyntää esiopetuksessa. Lisäksi videossa esiteltiin kuraattorin työtä esimerkein sekä videoon koottiin ajankohtaista tietoa kirjaamisesta ja yhteydenottotavoista kuraattoripalveluihin.
Valmis video arvioitiin Webropol-kyselyllä kuraattorien ja varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien toimesta. Palaute oli pääosin myönteistä, ja video luovutettiin kuraattoreille edelleen jaettavaksi.

A broader objective was to develop and strengthen multi-professional collaboration.
The development project was carried out in cooperation with the school social work services of the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county, which provide support for 6-year-old children in pre-school education and their families in collaboration with early childhood education staff. The thesis was development-oriented, utilizing qualitative research methods and co-development. Data were collected through a Webropol survey and a workshop, and the material was analyzed using qualitative content analysis.
The purpose of the survey was to provide background for the development work. According to the survey results, school social work has been beneficial for early childhood education teachers in their work. The teachers hoped for more clarity and information regarding multi-professional collaboration with school social workers, especially about how and in what situations to contact the services. The workshop highlighted the ongoing need to further develop multi-professional collaboration, clarify professional roles, and increase awareness of the school social worker’s role among early childhood and pre-primary teachers.
The outcome of the thesis was a video titled "School Social Work in Pre-primary Education." The purpose of the video was to clarify the cooperation between early childhood/pre-primary teachers and school social workers. The video’s themes were based on the results of the survey and co-development workshop and included: what school social work is in pre-primary education, multi-professional and multidisciplinary collaboration in school social work, practical aspects of school social work, and the ways in which school social work can be utilized in pre-primary education. The video also presented practical examples of the school social worker’s role and provided up-to-date information on documentation and how to contact school social work services.
The completed video was evaluated through a Webropol survey by school social workers and early childhood education teachers. The feedback was mainly positive, and the video was handed over to school social workers for further distribution.
