This thesis was conducted together with Mannerheim League for Child Welfare Uusimaa’s Ehjäksi project with the aim of publishing a bilingual information-based e-booklet for guardians and educators of children and youth who study in primary and secondary school in the region of Uusimaa. The aim of this thesis was that knowledge regarding the impact of bullying should increase, trauma-informed guide support must be provided, and partnership between schools and families should be improved. It was constructed upon an ethically grounded research process with theoretical underpinnings like trauma-development theory and attachment theory. The content has been jointly designed with MLL Uusimaa’s Ehjäksi project team and has been written in an inclusive, accessible style.
The outcome was a trauma-informed digital booklet for guardians and educators, offering practical guidance for guardians and educators on identifying the early and long-term effects of bullying, understanding trauma symptoms, and accessing support services in the Uusimaa region. The e-booklet received positive feedback from the work-life partner and embodied MLL Uusimaa Ehjäksi project 's mission of elevating the recovery and well-being of victimized children in schools.
