This study examined the recommended procedures to consider when establishing a software company, with a focus on identifying methodologies to anticipate potential risks and challenges during the initial
phases of the company’s development. The research was grounded in a practical case study of the start-up company Convalidandum, which serves as a real-world application of the proposed methods. The
primary objective was to determine effective strategies for introducing an AI-driven test automation product to target customers in a credible manner. While at the same time develop a coherent and appropriate corporate identity that could be established and utilized within the maritime sector. The software product under investigation is designed for companies across various industries that predominantly operate and conduct their activities online. In this context, artificial intelligence functions as an assistive tool, with the overarching goal of delivering financially beneficial services that enhance the operational efficiency of clients’ internal functions. A key focus of the study was to identify
methodologies for marketing the AI-driven test automation product by presenting clients with clear, accessible, and reliable theoretical frameworks, particularly for those who may lack familiarity with the
subject matter. By establishing a foundational understanding of the product’s theoretical underpinnings, clients may gain insights into how the product can be tailored and integrated to meet their specific operational requirements. Additionally, the study incorporated an analysis of the EU AI Act to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards during the product’s development. This included a thorough examination of the
implications of the Act on the design, deployment, and marketing of AI driven solutions. Furthermore, the research explored product protection strategies, with particular attention given to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the use of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). These considerations were meticulously evaluated and implemented to safeguard the company’s innovations and proprietary information. The qualitative research methodology employed in this study involved the collection of data through interviews with leaders of established companies, as well as the utilization of existing materials and experiences from these organizations. A SWOT analysis was conducted to extract relevant insights, which were subsequently refined and applied to the specific context of Convalidandum. All research materials and conclusions were rigorously reviewed by the company’s board to ensure alignment with its ethical standards and values. Given the current prominence of artificial intelligence as a topic of significant interest and debate, the study also addressed the scepticism often associated with AI technologies. To mitigate such concerns, Convalidandum developed a set of ethical guidelines and statements aimed at fostering trust and transparency among potential customers and the broader public. These guidelines were designed to reflect the company’s commitment to ethical practices and responsible innovation in the field of AI-driven solutions.
