YRITYS X:N TALOUTEEN LIITTYVIEN LUKUJEN LASKEMINEN EXCEL-TYÖKIRJASSA

Abstract

Opinnäytetyössä tutkittiin Yritys X:lle tärkeitä tunnuslukuja sekä muita kustannuksiin ja kannattavuuteen liittyviä lukuja. Näiden lukujen avulla Yritys X:lle luodaan Excel-työkirja, joka laskee tuloslaskelman ja taseen pohjalta halutut tiedot. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käydään läpi informaation tärkeyttä yrityksille, tunnuslukuja sekä katetuotto- ja kustannuslaskentaa. Tunnusluvuissa käsitellään lähinnä kannattavuuteen, maksuvalmiuteen ja vakavaraisuuteen liittyvää teoriaa. Teoriaosuuden viimeinen luku käsittelee katteisiin ja kustannuksiin liittyvää teoriaa. Teoriaosuuden aineisto on kerätty sekä kirjallisista että elektronisista lähteistä. Opinnäytetyön viimeisissä osissa käydään läpi Excel-työkirjan luontiin liittyviä asioita, kuten phaku-funktion käyttöä sekä nimettyjen taulukoiden käyttöä. Excel-työkirjan sisällöstä kerrotaan rajallisesti, koska toimeksiantaja halusi pysyä salaisena. Sisällöstä kerrotaan lähinnä taulukoiden nimet ja pääkohtien otsikot. Excel-laskentataulukoissa käytetty phaku-funktio toteuttaa halutut ominaisuudet, kuten helppokäyttöisyyden ja nopean tiedon vaihdon. Tulevaisuutta ajatellen Excel-työkirjaa voisi kehittää ja muokata toimimaan muillekin yrityksille kuin vain toimeksiantajalle.

The bachelor’s thesis describes the accounting statements figures of Company X. These values formed the basis for Excel sheets which calculated further statistical values relevant to Company X using information found in a balance sheet and an income statement. The thesis contains a summary of theory which inspects topics such as the importance of information to a company, financial statistics, profit margins and cost accounting. The financial statistics part of the theory section processes profitability, liquidity and solvency. The final part of the theory section inspects costs and profitability. Material for the theory parts of the thesis was collected from literature and from sources on the Internet. The final parts of the thesis present the process of how the Excel sheet was made by using vlookup-functions and named tables. The exact contents of the Excel sheets were not revealed because the content is classified as secret. Public information such as the naming of ranges, the construction of formulas using those ranges and the construction of the Excel sheets was documented. Requirements for the Excel sheets were as follows: the values used for calculations were to be easily used and swiftly replaceable. The analysis of the documented approaches showed that these requirements are met. For future development the Excel sheets could be modified so that they could be used by other companies as well.
