This thesis examines the potential and profitability of live streaming as a business model for teaching English in Vietnam. To meet the aim, a feasibility analysis was carried out. The results help determine whether the proposed business idea is promising for the target market.
The thesis comprises of four main parts. First, the thesis creates a research framework and discusses background information related to the topic. These provide a basis for the presented analysis. Next, the thesis provides an explanation of the live streaming concept, which is followed by an empirical research to gather primary data for the thesis. Finally, the thesis presents the results the feasibility analysis to answer the research questions. This thesis places greater emphasis on determining the potentiality of live streaming in Vietnam as a business model, and not on establishing a detailed business plan to raise capital.
The thesis uses qualitative research methods and draws on secondary and primary data. Both secondary and primary data are used. The former was obtained from publications such as books, articles, and electronic sources, while the latter was collected by conducting focus group sessions and interviews with the target customers and specialists in the sector.
As a result, the thesis proposes a concept that can have a high chance of success in the target market. This requires a reasonable amount of capital required and gives a good return on investment.
