Tiivistelmä
The objective of this thesis was to create a new guidance on information management for a software development company, based in Helsinki. The guidance is meant to support the new information management systems that the company has started to use. The material will enforce new ways of working. It will also give step by step tutorials for the employees on how to use the new systems.
The knowledge base for this thesis includes sections on information classification, user centric design and the tools used in the development. The implementation part of this thesis was divided to two main parts: design and development. In the first phase was designed the content and layout of the guidance material. The material included workflows of the new systems. The prototype application demonstrated step-by-step the efficient way of using the new systems. The graphs will provide visuality.
The outcome for this thesis was that all the guidance material was created, and the workflows and graphs were implemented in the official documentation. The prototype application was terminated and never taken into the use since the company decided to start developing a larger learning management system.
