Tiivistelmä
The objective of the study was to improve the process of designing steel constructions in Tekla Structures by creating and using the intelligent custom component system. As a result of the work carried out, the component for vertical bracing system was created and the main working principles of intelligent custom component system were explained. In addition, this thesis includes information about the bracing system in steel constructions and general information about Tekla Structures software.
In the empirical part of the study the main concern was to find out the ways of how to make the component fits in different types of vertical bracings or make a parametrical component. The work is based on a real project implemented in a Russian company.
The results obtained can be applied to a working process of steel construction designing as for manual providing advanced information about the custom component system.
