2-4-vuotiaiden lasten koti- ja vapaa-ajan tapaturmien ennaltaehkäisy

Abstract

Tämän toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa tapaturmaesite 2-4-vuotiaiden lasten ‎koti- ja vapaa-ajan tapaturmien ennaltaehkäisystä ja tapaturmien ensiavusta. Työn tilasi ‎Hyvinkään kaupungin koti- ja vapaa-ajan tapaturmatyöryhmä. Opinnäytetyön taustateoriana ‎käytettiin Anderssonin & Menckelin tapaturmateoriaa. Ennen esitteen laadintaa tehtiin kysely, ‎jonka tarkoituksena oli selvittää Hyvinkään kaupungin neuvoloiden terveydenhoitajien mielipiteitä ‎lasten tyypillisimmistä tapaturmista, niiden syytekijöistä sekä esitteen tarpeellisuudesta, ‎käyttötarkoituksesta ja sisällöstä.‎

Kyselytutkimuksen tuloksien mukaan yleisimmät 2- 4-vuotiaiden lasten tapaturmat olivat ‎putoaminen, myrkytykset, kaatumiset, palovammat, hukuksiin joutuminen ja vierasesineet ‎hengitysteissä. Tapaturmien syytekijöitä olivat lapsen kehityksen mukanaan tuomat vaarat sekä ‎ympäristön aiheuttamat vaaratekijät. Kyselyn pohjalta laaditun esitteen toivottiin olevan selkeä, ‎helppolukuinen ja kuvilla varustettu. Sisältötoivomuksina olivat lasten yleisimmät tapaturmat ja ‎niiden ennaltaehkäisy sekä ensiapuohjeet lasten yleisimmistä tapaturmista. Lisäksi toiveena oli ‎liittää esitteeseen yhteydenottotietoja, joihin ottaa yhteyttä tapaturman sattuessa.‎

Tuottamastamme tapaturmaesitteestä 2-4-vuotiaiden lasten vanhemmat saavat tietoa lasten ‎tapaturmista ja niiden ehkäisystä. Esite antaa käytännön vinkkejä kodin ja pihapiirin turvallisuuden ‎parantamiseen. Tekemiemme ensiapuohjeiden avulla vanhemmat saavat tietoa tapaturmien ‎ensiavusta. Tapaturmaesite ja ensiapuohjeet toimivat myös terveydenhoitajien perheille antaman ‎ohjauksen tukena. Esitteen sisältö on laadittu vastaamaan terveydenhoitajien toivomuksia. Tällä ‎tavoin esitteen hyödyllisyys ohjaus- ja neuvontatyössä on hyvä.‎

Preventing accidents of 2-4-year-old children at home and in free time

The purpose of this practice-based thesis was to produce a brochure about how to prevent ‎accidents of 2-4-year-old at home and in free time. The thesis was commissioned by the Home ‎and free time accident taskforce of the city of Hyvinkää. The thesis is based on Andersson & ‎Menckell accident theory. We made a inquiry before making the brochure, the purpose of which ‎was to survey the opinions of the public health nurses working with children in Hyvinkää about the ‎most common accidents of children, their causes and also the need of a brochure, its purpose of ‎use and its contest. The respondents consisted of the public health nurses of Hyvinkää town. The ‎inquiry consisted of open questions.‎

According to the results of the inquiry the most common accidents of 2-4-year-old children were ‎falling down, intoxications, falling to the ground, burns, drowning and the foreign objects in the ‎respiratory. The Causes of children’s accidents were dangers, which comes when children grow ‎and the dangers in their environment. Based on the results of the inquiry, the brochure was ‎supposed to be clear, easy to read and include pictures. The brochure was supposed to include ‎information about children's most common accidents and how to prevent them and also first aid ‎instructions in children's most common accidents. Contact information in case of emergency should ‎be included. We also made instructions for first aid of the typical accidents among 2-4-year-old ‎children. The need of the instructions came from the inquiry. The instructions will be hand out ‎together with the accident brochure to the parents at the child welfare clinics of Hyvinkää.‎ ‎ ‎ From the brochure, the parents of 2-4-year-olds get information about children’s accidents and ‎how to prevent them. The brochure is part of the health communication and it supports the oral ‎information which is given to the parents at the child welfare clinic. The first aid instructions give ‎the parents information about first aid in accidents. The brochure of children’s accidents and first ‎aid instructions are also part of the information to the parents, given by the public health nurses in ‎the child welfare clinics of Hyvinkää. The brochure gives advice to improve safety at home and in ‎the yard. This makes the brochure suitable to be used in guidance and counseling. With the first ‎aid instructions of the brochure, parents get information about first aid of children accidents.‎
