Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa opas, joka tukee lasten osallisuutta projektityöskentelyssä. Opinnäytetyöstä syntyvän oppaan tavoitteena oli myös lisätä osallisuutta tukevien projektien toteuttamista.
Viitekehys opinnäytetyölle koostui lasten osallisuudesta varhaiskasvatuksessa projektityöskentelystä sekä muista teoksista, jotka käsittelivät lasten osallisuuteen vaikuttavia asioita. Opasta varten tehty tutkimuksellinen osuus toteutui kyselyn avulla yhden yksikön varhaiskasvatuksen opettajille. Kyselyssä nousi esille toveita oppaan sisällöstä ja rakenteesta, joiden pohjalta opas rakennettiin.
Opinnäytetyön tuotoksena on opas varhaiskasvattajille, jossa tuodaan esille konkreettisia esimerkkejä lasten osallisuutta tukevan projektin toteuttamisesta. Oppaassa kerrottiin lasten osallisuudesta varhaiskasvatuksessa projektista sekä esimerkkiprojektista. Konkreettiset esimerkit jaettiin oppaassa projektin suunnittelu-, toteutus- ja arviointivaiheiden kohdalle. Oppaan rakenne ja sisältö perustuu varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien kyselyssä nousseisiin toiveisiin, kirjallisuuteen sekä omiin kokemuksiin osallisuutta tukevan projektin toteuttamisesta. Varhaiskasvatuksen opettajien toiveet opasta varten olivat hyvin yhtenäisiä, joita pystyi tukemaan kirjallisuudella. The purpose of the thesis was to produce a guide that supports the participation of children in project work. The aim of the guide created by the thesis was also to increase the implementation of projects supporting inclusion.
The frame of reference for the thesis consisted of; children's participation in early childhood education, project work and other works that dealt with issues affecting children's participation. The research part of the guide was carried out with the help of a survey of one unit's early childhood education teachers. The survey raised information about the content and structure of the guide, on the basis of which I built the guide.
The output of the thesis is a guide for early childhood educators, which present concrete examples of the implementation of a project supporting children's inclusion. The guide described the children's involvement in early childhood education, the project and an example of the project. Concrete examples were distributed in the guide for the design, implementation and evaluation phases of the project. The structure and content of the guide are based on the wishes raised in the survey of early childhood education teachers, the literature and my own experiences of implementing an inclusive project. The wishes of the early childhood education teachers for the guide were very consistent, and this can be supported by literature.
