Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyössä käsitellään ohjelmistopalvelun tuottamiseen liittyvän sisäisen toiminnan kehittämistä. Työ vastasi toimeksiantajan aitoon tarpeeseen kehittää toimintaansa. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä, jonka tavoitteena oli kartoittaa palvelutuotannon nykytilan haasteita, tunnistaa kehitystarpeet ja muodostaa konkreettinen kehityssuunnitelma toiminnan kehittämisen tueksi.
Opinnäytetyön teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä tarkastellaan palvelumuotoilun keskeisiä periaatteita, palvelumuotoiluun liittyviä prosessimalleja sekä muotoiluajattelun periaatteita. Lisäksi teoriaosuudessa käsitellään palvelukuvauksen menetelmien hyödyntämistä.
Työtä tehdessä edettiin palvelumuotoiluprosessin mukaisesti oikean ongelman tunnistamisesta ja määrittelystä suunnitelman muodostamiseen. Toiminnallisen työskentelyn aikana kerättiin laadullista tietoa nykytilanteen haasteista osallistavalla työpajamenetelmällä. Työpajan keskeisenä tavoitteena oli tunnistaa kehityskohteet, joiden pohjalta voitiin muodostaa kehityssuunnitelma. Kehityssuunnitelman rakentamista lähestyttiin soveltaen palvelumuotoilun keskeisiä periaatteita, prosesseja ja menetelmiä tehtäväehdotuksiin.
Opinnäytetyön lopputuotoksena syntyi tehtävätasoinen kehityssuunnitelmadokumentti toimeksiannon sisäisen toiminnan kehittämisen tueksi. Suunnitelma ohjaa löytämään kehitystyöllä oikeat ratkaisut toimeksiannon haasteisiin toteutusvaiheessa. The thesis examines the development of internal operations of software service production. The thesis responded to a genuine need of the commissioner to develop internal operations. The implementation of the thesis was carried out in a practical manner. The objective was to map out the current state issues of service production, identify development needs and draw up a concrete development plan to support the execution of development.
The theoretical framework of the thesis consisted of key principles of service design, process models used in service design and drivers of design thinking. Theoretical part also includes the utilization of service description methods.
Implementation of the thesis progressed in accordance with service design process from identifying and defining the right problem to forming a plan. Qualitative information on the current state issues was collected by using an inclusive workshop method. The essential objective of the workshop was to identify targets for development and base the development plan on the identified targets. The construction of the development plan was approached by applying the key principles, processes and methods of service design to the task propositions of the plan.
The final product of the thesis was a task-level development plan document to support the development of the internal operations of the commission. Intention of the plan was to guide towards finding the right solutions to the issues during the development work in the implementation phase.
