Tiivistelmä
Network information systems are nowadays widely used in day-to-day activities. From homes to the office, and even mobile phones, are all dependent on networking systems. The need to secure and understand these systems becomes increasingly important as almost all or part of our daily needs must in one way, or the other be addressed by some sort of a networking system. This thesis concentrates on the theoretical part of computer networking and its terminology.
The thesis report will serve as self-learning material. Research in the form of a presentation followed by a questionnaire and phone call has been conducted to serve as a tool to update the course content. This material was written in line with the research results.
This thesis has been written with the tutor in Laurea UAS’s Network Information System study unit as the client. The objective of the thesis project was to create self-learning material that students can access as part of the course content.
