Once making a big hit in Asia, bubble tea is becoming more and more popular in many countries around the world thanks to its unique and delicious taste. Finland is an open market for the product. Realizing the potential of the product, the thesis conducts researches regarding the Finnish Food and Beverage market to find out if Gong Cha could enter the market successfully.
The research methods have been used in this study were quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative research is applied by using an online survey questionnaire on social media channels. Meanwhile, the qualitative technique is done by directly interviewing face-to-face selected people living in Finland. The questions are asked in the form of open-ended questions and organized, orchestrated in-depth questions, the script from the beginning.
The study includes an overview of the case company and information regarding the Finnish market study by using tools in the following order: PESTEL analysis, Porter's five forces analysis, data analysis, and SWOT model. These help the thesis analyze the market’s characteristics, case company’s features and evaluate factors that matter to the market and the case company.
The study shows the results that Finland is a potential market to open Gong Cha despite the competitiveness and risks that the business may face. Using the market analysis methods established and analyzed by the author, Gong Cha has more specific plans to take the exact further steps when deciding to enter the Finnish market.
