Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tarkastella henkilöbrändäystä ja selvittää, kuinka se tukee töiden tai toimeksiantojen saamista. Tarkoituksena oli ottaa selville, miten asiantuntijan kannattaisi viestiä osaamisestaan monikanavaisesti ja mitkä kanavat ovat hyödyllisiä rekrytoinnin tai toimeksiannon kannalta, eritoten valokuvaajan näkökulmasta. Lisäksi opinnäytetyössä selvitettiin, eroavatko henkilöbrändäys ja asiantuntijabrändäys toisistaan.
Opinnäytetyö laadittiin toimeksiantona valokuvaajalle, joka on toiminut ammatinharjoittajana valokuvausalalla vuoden ajan. Opinnäytetyö on toiminnallinen ja sen lopputuotteena on digitaalinen henkilöbrändäysopas. Toiminnallista opinnäytetyötä täydennettiin kyselytutkimuksella, havainnoinnilla ja benchmarking-menetelmällä.
Opinnäytetyössä luotiin kattava teoreettinen kokonaisuus, joka pohjautuu lähdemateriaaleihin, kuten kirjallisuuteen, mediateksteihin ja webinaareihin, joihin on opinnäytetyöprosessin aikana osallistuttu. Lähdeaineiston perusteella henkilöbrändi ja asiantuntijabrändi eroavat toisistaan, osa lähteistä kuitenkin osa yhdistivät nämä käsitteet samaksi asiaksi. Tämän teoreettisen kokonaisuuden pohjalta luotiin opinnäytetyön toiminnallinen osuus eli henkilöbrändäysopas. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuus ja opas selvittävät toimeksiantajalle, kuinka lähteä rakentamaan omaa henkilöbrändiään hallitusti. The purpose of this thesis was to examine personal branding and investigate how it supports receiving work opportunities or assignments. The purpose was to find out how an expert should communicate his or her expertise in a multiple channels and which channels are useful for recruitment or the assignment, especially from the photographer’s perspective. In addition, the thesis examines whether personal branding and expert branding differ from each other.
The thesis was prepared as an assignment for a photographer who has worked as a professional in photography for a year. The thesis is practice-based, and its final product is a digital guide for personal branding. The thesis was supported with a survey, observation, and benchmarking.
The aim was to create a comprehensive overview on personal branding based on source materials, relevant academic literature, media texts and webinars, which have been attended during the thesis process. Based on the source material, personal branding and expert branding differ from each other, however some sources combine these concepts into one thing. Based on this comprehensive overview, the functional part of the thesis, the personal branding guide, was created. The theoretical part of the thesis and the guide explains to the client how to start building her own personal brand in a controlled way.
