Järvenpään tärkeimpien ratsastusreittien kartoitus ja dokumentointi valokuvien ja Sports Trackerin avulla

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön aiheena on selvittää Järvenpään kaupungin alueella sijaitsevat tärkeimmät ratsastusreitit ja dokumentoida ne valokuvin ja Sports Tracker –sovelluksen avulla. Tämä opinnäytetyö on toiminnallinen, eli kirjallisen työn lisäksi tuotoksena on Internet-päiväkirja eli blogi, jossa ohjeet ratsastusreitteihin julkaistaan. Opinnäytetyön toteutus on kokeellinen ja prosessin aikana tapahtuneella dokumentaatiolla on merkittävä osuus työssä.

Työssä tarkastellaan aluksi toimintaympäristöä, Järvenpään kaupunkia ja hevosalaa sekä elinkeinona että tarkemmin matkailualan näkökulmasta. Työ selvittää ratsukon oikeuksia ja velvollisuuksia luonnossa ja liikenteessä liikkuessa ja havainnollistaa niitä valokuvin. Toimintaympäristönä toimivat myös Internet ja blogimaailma, joiden vuorovaikutussuhteita ja valtaa opinnäytetyö valottaa.

Jälkimmäinen osuus opinnäytetyöstä dokumentoi työhön liittyvän blogin luomisen ja sen ylläpidon. Sekä kävijämääriä sekä kävijöiden kommentteja tarkastellaan. Järvenpään alueelta valitut ratsastusreitit esitellään perinpohjaisesti, alueiden kiinnostavia taustoja myöten.

Työssä nousi selvästi esiin jokamiehen oikeuteen perustuvan luonnossa ratsastuksen ongelmallisuus myös yrittäjän kannalta. Työssä huomattin, että ratsastus ja siihen liittyvien lupien selvitystyö usein kyseenalaistettiin ja koettiin turhana. Hevosalan tulisikin pyrkiä uudistumaan ja verkostoitumaan esimerkiksi uuden teknologian avulla voidakseen hyödyntää siitä saatavaa verkkovaltaa ja tunnettuutta.

Documenting Most Important Riding Trails in Järvenpää Area by Photographs and Sports Tracker-Software

The purpose of this Bachelor’s thesis was to map the most important riding trails in Järvenpää area and document them by using photographs and Sports Tracker software. This is a functional thesis, meaning that it consists of written work and an internet diary or a blog, where the instructions to the riding trails are published. The documentation of the process plays a significant role in this thesis because of its experimental nature.

The operational environment, the City of Järvenpää and the equine industry as a business and as a part of tourism industry are being examined in the beginning. The thesis deals with the rights and responsibilities of the horse and the rider when moving around in the nature and in traffic. A part of the operational environment of this thesis are the Internet and the world of blogs. Their mutual interaction and influence are also discussed.

The latter part of the thesis documents the creation of the aforementioned blog and the upkeep of it. Also the number of visitors and their comments are being examined. The riding trails in Järvenpää area and their interesting backgrounds are thoroughly introduced.

The problems related to riding in the nature as per everyman’s right allows came up prominently in the thesis. It was noticed that asking permissions to ride in certain areas was often questioned and considered pointless. It is clear that the equine industry should reinvent itself. The industry could take advantage of the new technologies in networking and increasing its familiarity among people.
