Tiivistelmä
Toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön aiheina olivat tuotteistaminen, tarinallistaminen sekä suomalainen muinaisusko. Suomalainen muinaisusko on kulttuurihistoriallisesti arvokas aihe. Suomalaisessa matkailussa sitä
on hyödynnetty todella vähän, joten aiheella on paljon potentiaalia kulttuurimatkailun saralla.
Loppujen
lopuksi työ kuitenkin vastasi hyvin tarkoitustaan ja tavoitettaan. Kokonaisuudessaan työ onnistui hyvin.
Jatkokehitysideana kohteen elämyksellisyyttä voisi viedä vieläkin pidemmälle näytelmäopaskierroksen
muodossa. Siinä useat eri oppaat voisivat samanaikaisesti näytellä opaskierroksen juonen mukaisesti. The subjects of this practice-based thesis were productization, storification and Finnish mythology. Finnish
mythology is a historically valuable cultural subject. It has considerable potential in Finnish cultural tourism
since it has previously been used very little in Finnish tourism. The client of this thesis was Hanna Elo, a tour
guide from Eurajoki and president of the Liinmaa heritage association. The client also coordinates a historical hill-fort project that aims to repair the destination and bring tourist services into the area. The purpose
of the thesis was to create a guide tour character and storify a guided tour in which Finnish mythology is
used. The objective of the thesis was to support the client in her endeavors to enliven the surroundings of
the historical hill-fort and increase awareness of the destination in the locality with a character guided tour.
The thesis involved the use of qualitative research to examine the theoretical framework and the cultural
subjects of the character guided tour. The tools of storification, StoryTree and drama curve were used in
designing the character guided tour. A character and a plot were created for the guided tour and a script
was also written. The intention was to make the guided tour into a finished product. However, the outcome
resembled a flexible framework that can be applied and modified by the tour guide. The practical implementation of the thesis was reported in a document consisting of two parts.
The result of the practical part of the thesis differed somewhat from the original plan. The tour guide can
draw material from the framework of the character guided tour and it can be modified to suit the tour
guide herself and a specific target audience. In conclusion, the finished product of the thesis served its
purpose and objective well. Overall, the thesis was successful. Further development of the destination
could include a guided tour in the form of a play in which many tour guides act out the plot of the tour
simultaneously.
