Tiivistelmä
Tämän opinnäytetyön tehtävänä oli laatia kalastuslain mukainen kalaston käyttö- ja hoitosuunnitelma Puruveden kalatalousalueelle. Kalaston käyttö- ja hoitosuunnitelman tavoite on turvata kalaston kestävä käyttö, tuotto ja monimuotoisuus alueella. Työssä käsiteltiin alueen vesienlaadullista tilaa, kalastorakennetta, saalismääriä ja muita kalaston kannalta oleellisia asioita.
Työn aineistona käytettiin aiempia Puruvedellä ja sen kalatalousalueen vesistöillä tehtyjä tutkimuksia ja kyselyitä, sekä hertta -ympäristötietokantaa. Työtä varten tehtiin myös uusia tutkimuksia. Suunnitelmaan kirjatut päätökset tehtiin pääasiassa kalatalousalueen kokouksissa vuoden 2020 aikana.
Tuloksien perusteella Puruveden lahtialueilla on syytä jatkaa hoitokalastusta ja vesienhoidollisia hankkeita, jotta kalastorakenne saadaan tasapainoon ja samalla vedenlaatu paranemaan. Harjuskannan palauttaminen tulee vaatimaan jatkuvia istutuksia sekä rauhoituspiirien ylläpitoa ja lisäämistä.
The purpose of this thesis was to create a legal management plan for the usage and care of the fish stock in the area of Puruvesi. The goal of the management plan is to secure a lasting usage, production and diversity of fish stock in the area. The topics covered in this work were water quality, structure of fish stock, draughts and other fish relevant topics.
The materials used in the work were previous studies and surveys conducted in Puruvesi and the waters of its fishing area, as well as the Hertta environmental database. New studies were also conducted for the work. The decisions recorded in the plan were mainly taken at fisheries area meetings during 2020.
Based on the results, it is appropriate to continue fishing and water management projects in the Puruvesi bay areas in order to balance the fishing structure and at the same time improve water quality. Restoration of the grayling stock will require continuous planting and management and increase of protected zones of graylings.
