Tiivistelmä
The aim of the research was to find out for the client company how much cost savings is possible to get in spare parts manufactured in a workshop by bidding for spare parts from Estonia which one is a low-cost country. The research also aimed to examine whether the current procurement organization has the resources and skills to procure from low-cost countries.
Quantitative research was used as the research method. ABC- and spend analysis as well as swot analysis were used in the research. The methods were able to classify the spare parts with the greatest potential for savings and to determine the annual savings.
As a result of the research, the savings potentials of classified spare parts were presented, as well as a suggestion on how the purchasing organization should be organized to make the purchase of spare parts from low-cost countries.
