Tiivistelmä
The study's main objective was to investigate the training system of Regent Phu Quoc through evaluation and opinion of employees, as well as find out a better improvement of the training system to serve in the next operational phase of the resort. The reason for conducting this research was concerning the author’s interest in the Learning and Development section of Regent Phu Quoc and incoming problems of the training system when the resort comes to the operational phase, a different working environment for employees.
Sources of secondary data were used to complete the theoretical part of this study. The theoretical part aimed at providing essential information to design questionnaires for data collection and analysis and using as a source for possible resolutions to the problems. The empirical part was conducted by applying the explanatory sequential method in a questionnaire survey as the first phase and interview as the second phase with 80 samples in total.
The thesis result confirmed that the recent training system of Regent Phu Quoc needs an improvement to reduce difficulties that employees have experienced during the pre-opening phase, although they are somewhat satisfied with the advantages of the programs and methods. In general, applying whether coaching or mentoring into the training system is recommended for better improvement and gamifying training contents is a possibility but it is considered as a high-cost application.
