Hukkuneen hoito : toimintakortti ensivaste henkilökunnalle

Abstract

Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tehdä hukkuneen hoidon ohje ensivaste henkilökunnalle, jossa käsitellään myös erityistapauksena hypotermisen potilaan ja laitesukellusonnettomuudessa olleen potilaan hoitoa. Hoito-osioita edeltää opinnäytetyöraportissa näiden tapaturmien yleisyys ja patofysiologia. Ensivastetehtävillä hukkunut potilas on melko harvinainen, jolloin toistoja tulee tehtävillä vähän ja opitut asiat ovat helposti unohdettavissa.

Työ toteutettiin toiminnallisena opinnäytetyönä. Valmiina kehittämistyön tuloksena syntyi toimintakortti, joka toimii niin oppimisvälineenä kuin tarkistuslistana ensivastetehtävillä. Tietoa kerättiin alan kirjallisuudesta sekä internetistä erilaisia tietokantoja hyödyntäen.

Ensivaste voi toimia hälytystehtävissä ensiauttajana. Usein ensivasteyksiköillä on käytössään erilaisia nopeasti saatavilla olevia hoito-oppaita, mutta toimintakortteja käyttää lähinnä ensihoito. Toimintakortti koettiin arviossa selkeäksi ja toimivaksi, ja nopeissakin tilanteissa helppolukuiseksi.

The aim of my thesis was to make a drowned victim treatment guide for first response personnel. The treatment of special cases such as hypothermia and diving related accidents are also taken into consideration. It is important to control/master the pathophysiology of these cases and for this reason, the subject is discussed in the thesis before the actual treatment sections.

This thesis was carried out as a functional thesis and as a result of the completed development work action card was created. The data for this thesis was collected from literature and various databases on the internet.

First response personnel can be the first unit on the scene, sometimes even before the emergency care units. First response units frequently use literature guides and check lists as a help, but action cards such as the one produced as an outcome of this thesis, are mostly utilized only by emergency care units in the field. Action cards have been experienced as clear, functional and easy-to-read tools even in high stress situations.
