The research questions were posed at discovering the key characteristics of the main platforms in the Asian market to subsequently form a proposal for the crea-tion of a domestic product in the Russian market. The theoretical part was based on the concepts of digital technologies, digital transformation, business model and digital content.
The method used in this case was a case study that combined quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis. The quantitative analysis based on secondary statistical data. The qualitative analysis based on the Business Model Canvas followed by explanations and findings. Based on the results of the study, the thesis discovered the prerequisites for the development of online reading platforms as a digital business, identified the common characteristics of webcomics reading platforms, as well as the value proposition of each explored platform. In conclusion, the thesis clearly identified the key characteristics that need to be implemented in the creation of a platform for the Russian market.
