Kryptotaidekokoelma

Abstract

Opinnäytetyömme aiheena on luoda kolmen (3) audiovisuaalisen taideteoksen kokoelma, joka lisätään myytäväksi lohkoketjupohjaiselle myyntialustalle. Teosten teemana toimii digitaalisuuden alle katoava maailma. Teoksissa pohditaan virtuaalisuuden sulautumista fyysiseen maailmaan. Työllämme haluamme luoda merkityksellisen taidekokoelman, jolla pyritään lisäämään kriittistä ajattelua digitalisoituvassa yhteiskunnassa. Kirjallisessa osuudessa pohdimme digitaalisen taiteen kehitystä ja sen tulevaisuutta. Käymme myös läpi kryptotaiteen juuria sekä mahdollisia tulevaisuuden kehityssuuntia. Lähtökohtana opinnäytteelle ja sen aiheelle on halu haastaa itseämme taiteellisen työn toteuttamisessa uusilla keinoilla. Samalla haluamme luoda jotain, jolla on tarkoitus, vaikka se käsittäisi pelkän oppimisprosessin. Kokoelman liittäminen lohkoketjuun mahdollistaa sen myyntiin asettamisen kryptotaidemarkkina-alustalle sekä teosten ikuistamisen lohkoketjuun.

The topic of our thesis is to create a collection of three (3) audiovisual pieces of art which will be listed for sale on a blockchain based platform. The theme of the artworks is the world disappearing under digitalization. The artworks reflect on the merging of virtuality into the physical world. In our work, we want to create a meaningful collection of art that seeks to increase critical thinking in a digitalizing society. In the written part, we discuss the development of digital art and its future. We also go through the roots of cryptography as well as probable future trends. The starting point for the thesis and its topic is the desire to challenge ourselves in the implementation of artistic work in new ways. At the same time, we want to create something that has a purpose, even though it only involves the learning process. Linking the collection to the blockchain will allow it to be listed up for sale on a cryptographic art platform. The works were realized using photography, 3D modeling, animation, and sound production. The images were taken in a nocturnal winter landscape in which 3D objects were embedded. In the finishing of the works, each picture was produced with its own slightly different soundtrack, according to which the pictures were animated. We felt that the thesis was an educational and successful experience in all respects. We are both happy with the artistic part. We see NFT technology having great potential in the field of art. NFT technology still needs to evolve to become more prevalent in everyday life. We believe that technology generates new innovations in areas other than art.
