The objective of this thesis was to create a guidebook for a company TerhiTec on how to expand their online store to the Swedish markets. By creating the guidebook, it gives value for the company in the future. If the company wants to expand their online store to some other country, they have already existing information and can check from this thesis, what processes need to be done in this expansion case.
The thesis was implemented in two different parts. The theoretical part includes topics such as international market entry strategy and what is e-commerce. The second part is the project part, where all the working steps for the expansions process has considered. The method which was used to gather information was through an unstructured interview.
In this project, many people helped to gather information regarding different matters. Good examples what kind of information needed to be solved before launching an online store into the Swedish markets were taxation and different payment methods.
The project-based thesis covered different theoretical topics which will help the company in the future considering the possible e-commerce expansion for different markets. Thus, with the theoretical topics and e-commerce expansion project, the company has valuable information to utilize in the future.
