Tiivistelmä
The changes towards electrification in the industry and vehicle domain is followed by an increasing number of control systems for electric motors. The need for electrical drives pared with the increasing requirement of efficiency of the systems result in an increasing demand for resolvers. A resolver which is small in size and easy adjustable also for nonstandard systems is missing on the market yet.
In the Bachelor thesis a new resolver design is studied. The main attention is focused on manufacturing methods with which the resolver components are the easiest to manufacture with. Thereby manufacturing methods for mass producing and prototype testing are investigated and the most suitable one is pointed out. Also design recommendations are made to improve the design regarding easier manufacturing.
In conclusion the best way to manufacture electrical steel sheets is via stamping, laser cutting or solid state sintering. The best way to put electrical steel sheets together is via gluing. Casting and plastic injection moulding can be used to manufacture the bobbins and the excitation and detection windings can be wound by machine or hand. Furthermore the best way to manufacture the stator mount is via CNC machining, wire electric discharge machining or laser cutting.
