This thesis was performed for MagiCAD Group Oy in order to create educational courses for customers.
The thesis describes in an accessible way how to find necessary IFC entities, predefined types, and attributes, what is the difference between IFC2x3 and IFC4 and why IFC 4 is more beneficial. Also, the thesis includes an explanation of when it is appropriate to create your own property and quantity sets and where the ready-made ones can be found.
Explains concepts such as Model View Definition, Use Case Management, Information Delivery Manual, Exchange requirements, BIM Collaboration Format. Also, the Provision for Builderswork workflow is displayed in Appendix 1. This thesis increases the knowledge of MagiCAD users about BIM standards and how these standards are connected with MagiCAD Software.
