The main aim of this study was to develop and demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills to review the e-commerce operation system and order processing system. The entire process of e-commerce management operations and order processing system has been reviewed and analyzed. The procedure of commercial vendor management, customer service support, order verification and confirmation, quality control, warehousing, order processing, after-sales service and issue resolution are analyzed. Lastly, the business environment of the e-commerce platform has been discussed, and an indepth analysis conducted on an organization named Daraz Bangladesh ltd by Alibaba group which was previously owned by a German investment company named Rocket Internet SE. And the commissioner who is currently working as a Head of Operations in the company, helped with both brief and detailed information as needed.
In this study, the theoretical part describes various related theories and concepts regarding e-commerce platforms for operations and order processing. The key concepts and theories have been analyzed to have a better understanding. The sources of theoretical concepts are taken from various books, scientific journals, articles, blogs, and academic websites. The quantitative primary research has also been conducted from the point of view of the existing employees of Daraz Bangladesh Ltd. who responded in the survey anonymously.
Finally, the answers have been discussed in detail to understand the development as well as running operational process in regard to the order processing system. Additionally, discussion and recommendations have suggested to through the commissioner.
