Ratio Analysis is one of the fundamental tools to describe the financial statements succinctly to help the stakeholders to get an adequate knowledge of the company's performance level to restore their investments. With the help of financial analysis, the company will be able to evaluate its strengths and weaknesses to improve its performance in its relevant Industry to capture market goodwill.
The aim of this thesis is to establish Finnair in its own financial performance together with its rival competitor, namely Scandinavian Airlines, based on ratio analysis to compare which airline performs better. The airline business is basically complicated in nature as small variations will cause a major impact on the airline industry, although this airline industry is developing at a faster pace due to the increase in competition and demand to travel all over the world.
In the thesis the author further discusses the PESTEL factors that affect Finnair as a whole. However, there is a valuable and comprehensive evaluation related to Finnair's performance trajectory with regard for the betterment of the company as well as the future course of business solvency.
The kinds of financial ratio analysis are profitability, investors, and liquidity ratios covering Finnair's financial statements. It discusses the results of the ratio analysis, which has an outcome derived from Finnair. Further, it shows where Finnair stands in the airline market industry as performance level based.
