Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa haavanhoito-opas Kirkkonummen Palvelutalon hoitohenkilökunnalle. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli kehittää Kirkkonummen Palvelutalon hoitohenkilökunnan haavanhoito-osaamista. Opinnäytetyön työelämänkumppanina toimi Kirkkonummen Palvelutalo.
Toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön tuotoksena syntyi opas, joka käsittelee paine- ja onkalohaavojen tunnistamista, hoitoa sekä niiden kirjaamista potilastietojärjestelmään. Teoreettisessa viitekehyksessä käsiteltiin myös haavanhoidon osaamisen tarvetta hoitohenkilökunnalla. Oppaan tietoperusta pohjautuu tuoreisiin suosituksiin sähköisistä tieteellisistä artikkeleista, haavanhoito kirjallisuudesta sekä haavanhoitajien kanssa käydyistä keskusteluista.
Opas esiteltiin hoitohenkilökunnalle ja siitä kerättiin palautetta sähköisellä palautelomakkeella. Saadun palautteen mukaan opinnäytetyön tavoitteeseen päästiin. Opas oli selkeä ja helppolukuinen. Opas piti myös sisällään oleelliset tiedot koskien haavanhoitoa. Opas tulee jäämään Kirkkonummen Palvelutalon käyttöön ja heille annetaan siihen käyttöoikeudet, jotta he voivat sitä halutessaan täydentää tulevaisuudessa, kun uusia haavanhoitosuosituksia tulee. Johtopäätöksenä ja kehittämisehdotuksena opas tuli tarpeeseen ja haavanhoidosta voisi kertoa lisää myös uuden oppaan myötä. Uusi opas voisi kertoa toisenlaisista haavoista tai sairauksista ja niiden riskitekijöistä haavojen syntymiselle. The purpose of the thesis was to conduct a wound care guide for the medical staff at Residential Care Home Kirkkonummi. The aim of the thesis was to enhance the knowledge of medical staff in the treatment of wounds. Residential Care Home Kirkkonummi was the cooperation partner of the thesis.
As a result of the functional thesis a guide was created dealing with the identification and the treatment of pressure ulcers and cavity ulcers. The guide also deals with the registration of data to the patient management system. The theoretical framework also discussed the need of wound care skills among medical staff. The framework of the guide is based on recent recommendations from electronic scientific articles, wound care literature and discussions with wound care nurses.
The guide was presented to the medical staff and the feedback was collected by using an electronic feedback form. According to the feedback received, the goal of the thesis was met. The guide was clear to understand and easy to read. The guide also contained essential information about wound care. The guide will remain in the use of Residential Care Home Kirkkonummi and they will be given access rights. When there are new wound care recommendations in the future, they can supplement the guide if they wish. As a conclusion and development proposal, the guide was needed and it could also be beneficial to educate more about wound care by the new guide. The guide could deal with other types of wounds or diseases and their risk factors for the formation of wounds.
