Leaders’ experiences of using digitalization during Covid-19

The study's purpose was to gain a better understanding of the implications of digitalization on leaders' activities during COVID-19. The research was conducted in order to present both the benefits and problems of digitalization that were encountered throughout the crisis. In addition, the research revealed the leaders' learnings and how they shared them with forthcoming leaders so that they may be used in the future.
Based on credible sources, The author began by defining leadership and highlighting its importance in times of crisis. Leadership styles and the contingency method were also emphasized. As a result, leaders discussed digital transformation as a topic, and digitalization was explained. In addition to the digitalization issues for leaders described in the theoretical section of the study, along with remote and hybrid work.
As the author wanted to study the benefits and difficulties of digitalization discovered by leaders during the pandemic COVID-19 and search for the leaders' insights from the crisis and figure out what leaders would advise future leaders. As a result, the empirical technique of this study was decided to be a structural interview, with 8 leaders who lead their teams from different departments in different firms being interviewed. As a consequence, it was found that, while helping in overcoming the crisis, digitization generated several concerns and challenges for leaders.
The last part of the research discusses in further depth the results of the interviews, assessing and comparing them to data obtained from credible, current, and peer-reviewed sources. The investigation revealed several commonalities, which has increased the research's credibility.

While solving those problems, leaders adopted new learnings that have been used to advise future leaders, focusing on digital skills as an important example.
