This study aims to find out the strategic components to drive the success of takeaway services in Food and Beverage industry in Finland. Besides that, Covid19 pandemic between 2020 and 2021 had significantly affected the restaurant industry due to the social distancing and lockdown. Therefore, takeaway services are a potential contribution to the success of the food and beverage industry due to its advantages.
The theorical parts in this thesis report provides the readers necessary factors required in takeaway services to success. Moreover, the effectiveness of important variables in marketing tool 4Ps to understand the customer behaviour to figure out the significant elements which can contribute to the empirical part of the study.
The qualitative research method was conducted in the empirical parts. Data was collected, examined, and interpreted by face-to-face interview in English. The interviews occurred on the weekend from 24th to 27th September 2022 which was at the takeaway premises.
The research results have addressed the thesis topic and highlight the important factors such as strategic focus, people, operations, marketing, and finance to drive the success of takeaway service in Food and Beverage industry in Finland. Covid19 pandemic has also changed the customer’s behaviours and brought a huge number of customers to the takeaway services to contribute to the success of takeaway services industry. Some of the recommendations and suggestions for a start-up takeaway business are mentioned.
