Tiivistelmä
The thesis is research that could be a part of future applied and more extensive research within Lean and Agile. The aim of the thesis is a management concept development that facilitates transferring a generic Lean-Agile framework inter and intra-organization for better internationalization of Small-Medium Multinationals. This research case approached the base elements of lean philosophy and agile.
The objective of this research is theoretical and descriptive research of Lean and Agile with the goal of finding the generic platform (or framework and roadmap) suitable for SMEs and critical milestones for transferring it inter and intra-organization.
This research added knowledge of management systems transferring from a Japanese corporation with some theoretical aspects based on the Scaled Agile Framework and SAFe methodology (Knaster et al, 2019). This generic framework was developed to help SMEs for easy transfer the Lean-Agile system intra and inter-organization. This management concept was customized for SMEs with the idea of its implementation in two stages (Lean and Agile) and steps or together from the beginning in a single stage of organization transformation.
The research was designed as a mixed method that combined qualitative and quantitative data. The process begins with a document review to obtain qualitative data. A theoretical and practical solution to the problem was found and proposed too. A survey with professionals was conducted for feedback in regard to the conceptual framework proposed. Then, the result was validated by a quantitative survey with larger representativity to obtain universality of it. The acceptance of 92% for the framework and 83% for the roadmap was accounted for at the end of the survey. Also, the survey research assessed data from different industries and various geographical areas.
