Tiivistelmä
Content creation in the tourism industry is thriving in promoting a destination. Social media platforms are now accessible to most individuals in industrialized countries as the digital world advances. The industry has grown due to this trend, and content creation is now a recognized and sought-after career. As the industry is young and new, more literature and alliances must be created to help upcoming content creators. Most have to build their knowledge about practicing the profession by trying, failing, and succeeding. The thesis aims to find aspects of a good content creator in the travel and tourism industry.

This understanding will prepare a concrete and concise development plan for the author's future career. Despite the expanding significance of content creation, there is still a research gap in understanding the elements that lead to successful content development. There is still much to learn and explore about the importance of creativity, originality, and relevance in content development, even if some research has concentrated on the effects of content length, structure, and topic choice. Furthermore, there needs to be more research on content creation' skills, experience, and motivation to increase the effectiveness of content.

The research used quantitative and qualitative methods and was conducted with OR using secondary data. Twenty-one codes were formulated from ten categories from the three content creators' profiles. The primary outcome of this thesis is recommendations for the author's career in social media. The research also revealed standard practices, features, lessons learned, and means to practice the content creator profession, not just for the author herself but also for other upcoming content creators and people pursuing social media careers.
