Osaamisen johtaminen laitepassin avulla Siun soten välinehuoltopalveluissa

Abstract

Potilasturvallisuus on keskeinen osa terveydenhuoltoa, ja laiteturvallisuus on yksi osa potilasturvallisuutta. Suuri joukko ihmisiä altistuu lääkinnällisten laitteiden ja instrumenttien käytöstä johtuville infektioille vuosittain.

Lääkinnällisten laitteiden koulutus ei sisälly terveyden- ja sosiaalihuollon ammatilliseen koulutukseen, vaan laitekoulutus toteutetaan työpaikoilla. Infektiot olisivat osittain estettävissä henkilöstön osaamisesta huolehtimalla.

Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on parantaa laiteturvallisuutta, laiteosaamista ja laiteosaamisen seurantaa luomalla digitaalinen laitepassi Välinehuoltopalvelujen käyttöön. Laitepassi edistää henkilöstön laiteosaamista ja laitteiden käytön perehdytystä. Laitepassi mahdollistaa laiteosaamisen parantamisen, varmistamisen ja seurannan.

Aineistoa kerättiin Webropol-kyselyllä ja työpajatyöskentelyllä. Aineiston analysoinnissa käytettiin luokittelua ja sisällönanalyysiä luomalla kategorioita. Aineiston pohjalta muodostettiin laitepassi höyryautoklaavin käyttöön liittyen.

Laiteosaamisen parantamiseksi ja seuraamiseksi laitepassien käyttöönottoa tulee laajentaa myös muille välinehuollon laitteille. Laitepassille tehty runko toimii pohjana myös muille laitepasseille.

Patient safety is a key part of healthcare, and the safety of medical devices is one part of patient safety. Many people are exposed to infections from the use of medical devices and instruments every year.

Introduction to using of medical devices is not a part of health and social care vocational training, but it is done at workplaces. Infections could be partially prevented by taking care of the staff's competence.

The purpose of this study was to improve the safety and competent use of medical devices by creating a digital passport for the Central Sterile Supply Department. The passport makes also competence monitoring possible. The passport improves the personnel's competence and orientation with the use of the devices. The passport makes the improvement, verification, and monitoring of device competence possible.

The data for this study was collected with a questionnaire and at workshop. The material was analyzed by theme, and it was categorized. Based on the data, a device passport of the steam autoclave was created. To improve and monitor the medical device competence, the passport should also be extended to other devices in the Central Sterile Supply Department. The frame from this passport can be used as a basis for other device passports.
