SIRE Vetting Inspections - Vessel and Office perspectives

Abstract

This paper examines the sire vetting inspection process from both the vessel and office perspectives. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the SIRE prosses through the international regulations and codes on which it’s based on. The study is based on a thorough review of the relevant literature and an analysis of the current practices in the industry. Taking in to account the importance of SIRE inspections results (SIRE in the ticket to trade a ship), the study was conduct-ed in such way to analyze the hole prosses for both vessel and office perspective in order to improve company’s results in the future. Various statistics were used from company’s annual management review I order to identify relevant gaps in the SIRE managements process. Various tools (Excel files etc.) created in order to achieve the desired improvement. The effective implementation of the tools created is crucial in ensuring safety, compliance, and sustainability of a Tanker shipping company. The shipping industry has undergone significant changes in recent years, with safety, compliance, and sustainability being of the utmost importance., with the aim of determining how it can be effectively implemented to achieve these goals. The findings suggest that the effective implementation of sire vetting inspections requires collaboration and communication between the vessel and office, as well as adherence to best practices and standards. The paper concludes by highlighting the importance of the sire vetting inspection and by providing recommendations for further improvement.
