Tiivistelmä
Recently most organizations have developed so much that the amount of data flowing through them has become too large to be handled manually, and this has led to development in data storage, processor and networking technologies to enable them handle this information in digital form and making it possible to access the data from any location. With this development came the need to protect the data against unwanted access.
Database system and database security is the concept that gives an insight into the development of database and also the importance of the security aspect. This technology gives us the possibility to explore various disciplines in this field such as database architecture, data/database administrator and also database security and the impact they have had and still having to ensure that users have exactly what they need to meet their professional needs.
The aim of the thesis is to give an insight into the database concept, its components, the architectural part, and also data manipulation and access methods. Finally, the security aspect is about the various methods used to prevent unwanted access to data to ensure that the integrity and consistency of the data is maintained. It also involved the use of tools such as the Wamp server to show us the possible actions that could be performed on data stored in a database, and how they can be accessed or manipulated.
