One of the most essential components in every organization is how to satisfy and motivate employees. This aspect is very important as far as the success of the business is concerned. For this reason the organization must put the necessary measures in place for improving the motivation and satisfaction of its employees in order to achieve ultimate goals set before the organization.
The thesis choose ABC company, Kokkola branch as a case study which deals with the providing of modern services designed for travelers across the towns of Finland, as well as the residents in the area who need quality and everyday food, fuel and a restaurant. It is located in the joint of almost every town in Finland. The highest number of its branches can be found in the city of Helsinki where the headquarters is located.
A complete and in depth literature reviews on the concept of employees motivation and satisfaction was conducted. The key concepts were the job design, employee's empowerment and recognition, motivation and satisfaction were also reviewed thoroughly. Three persons were interviewed, which included the humar resource manager of KPO, the manager of ABC, Kokkola and one worker of ABC Kokkola interactively to collect their views and comments on the said topic.
