Tiivistelmä
This thesis work focuses on finding out the possibility to import clothes from Bangladesh and sell them to retailers in Finland. The main purpose of this research is to find out new market for importing clothes from Bangladesh to the Central Ostrobothnia region in Finland and later in other bigger cities.
Bangladesh is a developing country but it has huge capability to produce and export clothes because of availabilities of raw material and cheap labor costs. Many Europe countries like France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, the UK are the main exporting markets of Bangladeshi clothes. Nowadays the markets in the Nordic countries are increasing.
After having this research work done the author found out the procedures of supply clothes to the retailers and their interests in purchasing imported clothes from Bangladesh. Retailers' own buying procedures have been also figured out during interviews. These have made the author more convinced to enter into Finnish potential markets.
