Values of a company are beliefs or a mission that is important for the success of a company. They are born in an establishment and they are meant to define the standards which, guide employees and management behavior within an organization, and they must be in accordance with the mission and the vision that the organization aims to achieve. It is very important for an organization to understand its values and make sure it is implemented successfully, if not the employees and the management will pursue values which are not beneficial to the organization. The aim of the thesis is to find out whether the values of a company are considered before making decision and also the difficulties or challenges that may or would affect the implementation of these values.
The case study company is Keski-Pohjanmaan Kirjapaino Oyj, which specializes in graphics, publication and communication services. The company operates in Central Ostrobothnia region, due to its long track record it has now extend its tent to other regions in Finland and Estonia.
The theoretical framework of the study and explanation was carried out in order to understand the implementation of value management, the importance of organizational values, organizational value and influence, The influences of the size of the company personal and cultural aspects. A questionnaire and interviews were used to get feedback from the respondents, 25 people filled the questionnaire and 3 people were interviewed during the course of this study.
The research shows that the company examines the values before a decision is made and that there are no challenges that may or would affect the implementation of these values.
