Tiivistelmä
This thesis evaluates the feasibility and impact of implementing the Finnish method of plastic recycling in Nigeria. The research subject is the plastic waste management system in Nigeria, which is currently facing significant challenges due to inadequate infrastructure and a lack of awareness among the population. The Finnish method of plastic recycling is a promising solution that has been successfully implemented in Finland and other countries.
The thesis presents the methods used to evaluate the feasibility and impact of implementing this method in Nigeria, including a literature review, case studies, and interviews with stakeholders.
The most important results of the study include the identification of key challenges and opportunities for implementing the Finnish method in Nigeria, as well as recommendations for further research and development work. The thesis concludes that the Finnish method of plastic recycling has the potential to significantly improve the plastic waste management system in Nigeria, and that further research and development work is needed to fully realize this potential.
