This thesis investigates the consumption patterns of esports-related content and games, as well as the financial expenditures of individuals aged 17 to 30 in Hungary. Esports in Hungary has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, with a burgeoning community of competitive gamers and enthusiasts. The country has seen a surge in esports events, including tournaments and leagues, showcasing the increasing popularity of competitive gaming. Additionally, the support from local organizations and the government has
contributed to the development of a thriving esports ecosystem in Hungary.
Data collection for this study was conducted through the utilization of Google Forms, with the form distributed across various esports-related Facebook groups and Discord servers for a comprehensive sample acquisition.
