Tiivistelmä
The rise of remote work due to the COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant changes in businesses' Human Resources (HR) and Talent Acquisition (TA) processes. This thesis aims to explore the optimization of HR and TA functions in the era of remote work, focusing on how traditional models are being adapted or replaced by digital solutions.
The theoretical part of this research is based on previously published literature, like books, articles and also some internet sources. Moreover, the study uses a mixed methods approach that combines a qualitative method of data collection through in-depth interviews and quantitative data analysis through a questionnaire. The data was gathered from HR and TA professionals within small and large-sized organizations across Europe mostly. The study explores key areas including HR and TA challenges and solutions, as well as recent trends related to remote working within organizations.
The results show profound organisational changes as they shifted to remote or hybrid work modes. Innovations such as cloud-based systems, advanced talent management software and others have become integral to maintaining efficiency and competitive advantage. The findings clearly show that remote work is not a temporary phenomenon, but an enduring feature of the modern work environment. Thus, companies must continue to innovate their HR and Talent Acquisition practices to effectively attract, retain, and manage talent in this new era of work.
